EASTON COACH COMPANY OPENS NEW

WHITEHALL, PA

PARATRANSIT FLEET FACILITY

For Immediate Release - EASTON, Pennsylvania – June 23, 2006 – Today Easton Coach Company opened its Whitehall, Pennsylvania fleet facility.

This facility will house operations, administration, and maintenance services for approximately 50 vehicles in the Easton Coach fleet and will serve as the eastern hub for the recently awarded five-year contract to operate paratransit services for the Lehigh and Northampton Transportation Authority (LANTA) Metro Plus program.  Metro Plus is LANTA’s designated paratransit system that provides specialized door-to-door transportation services to eligible residents of Lehigh and Northampton Counties.  In all, the Metro Plus Division transports about 450,000 passengers annually with a fleet of more than 110 wheelchair accessible mini-buses. 

The Whitehall facility is the sixth Easton Coach location, along with our Easton, PA headquarters and main hub, as well as satellite facilities in Nesquehoning and Reading, PA and Milford, NJ (as well as subsequent locations in Harrisburg and Philadelphia, PA).
