EASTON COACH COMPANY LAUNCHES
PHILADELPHIA OPERATION
For Immediate Release - EASTON, Pennsylvania – December 1, 2006 – Today, Easton Coach Company commenced services in the Philadelphia marketplace.
Through an affiliate, Pennsylvania Transit Company, Easton Coach now provides non-emergency ground transportation services to eligible Medicaid participants in the County of Philadelphia for the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare (“DPW”) under a contract with LogistiCare Solutions, LLC, a transportation broker coordinating this service for the DPW. LogistiCare, founded in 1994, coordinates more than 14 million trips for more than 7 million people nationwide and employees 950 people at 30 locations throughout the country.
Under the new three year contract, Easton Coach will utilize 35 vehicles and employ nearly 90 people in the Philadelphia operation to deliver up to 1,200 scheduled trips per day.
